What is the TDVL course?

The TDVL course is part of the procedure to being a taxi driver in Singapore. It is structured as a blend of self-study and classroom coaching, typically spanning up to 25 hours of comprehensive learning.
What is covered in the TDVL course?

The TDVL course in Singapore covers 5 core modules:
- Apply On-the-Road Safety Practices
- Apply Essential Engagement and Handling Techniques with Passengers
- Comply with Rules and Regulations for Taxi and Private Hire Car (PHC) Drivers
- Apply Techniques to Identify Key Routes
- Apply Principles of Route Planning Using Printed Street Directory and Digital Navigational Tools
After the course, applicants will need to sit for a three-paper assessment where they will be tested on what they have learnt. This assessment is conducted at Republic Polytechnic.
What are the TDVL course fees?

In Singapore, the TDVL course fees are as follows:
- Course Fee & Training Materials: $250/pax
- Test Fee: $25/pax
